This project describes the conflict in humans’ thinking in their relationship with nature through small, daily-life acts.
When I have time, I often go around and shop for small plants. Then, I started to observe how people living in the city tend to find ways to bring part of nature back into their homes. However, they are willing to cut down many trees just to build buildings and houses. Hence, I want to understand and explore more about this conflictual thinking, especially in how people interact with nature through simple, daily-life acts.
While making this project, I realise that the relationship between humans and nature is unfair. Most people only recognise that it is wrong to conduct illegal acts such as burning down forest or hunting wild animals, but haven’t given much thought on smaller stuff like buying things which belong out in nature for decorating their homes. Many are using artificial things to recreate nature. I’m not saying whether they are right or wrong, I just want to understand and illustrate their thoughts.
